Resident Summer Shan heard a “big bang” in the early hours of the morning so she went outside to see what had happened.

”After the bang, I was like, ‘anyone injured?’ I just come downstairs to have a look and was like, ‘Oh my god, it’s in my backyard,'” Shan said.

She said she searched the car with her phone light to see if anyone was injured but she couldn’t find anyone.

Officers also looked for the driver of the Mustang, using the dog squad to examine the area.

They arrested a 16-year-old at a house in Glenhaven later this morning.

He was taken to hospital for mandatory testing.
