The teenage labourer charged over a horror crash that killed five NSW high school students has had his charges upgraded.
Tyrell Edwards, 18, allegedly crashed his ute into two trees near the Wollondilly Shire village of Buxton last September.
Lily Van De Putte, Tyrese Bechard, Summer Williams, Gabby McLennan and Antonio Desisto all died in the horror accident.
The 18-year-old’s case was listed for a mention at Picton Local Court but he did not appear, and was instead represented by his lawyer, Karen Watson.
However the families of two of the victims – Summer Williams and Antonio Desito – were at court.
Edwards was released on strict bail conditions last October.

He is only able to leave home for a few reasons and only in the company of his mother.
His parents have promised to forfeit $100,000 if their son fails to appear in court.
His next appearance is on April 14.
An event to honour the memory of the teenagers will be held at the George IV Inn in Picton next Sunday.
The Festival of Summer will feature local live music acts playing some of the teens’ favourite songs, with all proceeds going to a charity of Summer’s family’s choice.
