“Thanks to our rich history, we have a vault of craveable products our fans have become passionate about and we continuously explore ways to reintroduce the ones that deliver on the comfort and value they are looking for,” Taylor Montgomery, Taco Bell’s Chief Marketing Officer, said in a statement.

“Now, we’re thrilled to unite two groups of fans: those who fondly remember these menu items and those who have yet to experience the delight of a Caramel Apple Empanada or savor their first bite of a Meximelt with this menu.”

Taco Bell’s nostalgic menu includes:

  • 1960s – Tostada: The Tostada is a crispy corn tostada shell with refried beans, tangy red sauce, lettuce and shredded cheese ($2.19). It was one of the original menu items when Taco Bell opened its first location in 1962.
  • 1970s – Green Burrito: The Green Burrito is filled with refried beans, onions, shredded cheddar cheese and a green sauce made with green chili, tomatillos, jalapeño peppers and spices ($2.49). The menu item gained popularity in the ’70s.
  • 1980s – Meximelt: This ’80s fan favorite is made with pico de gallo, a three cheese blend with mozzarella, cheddar and Monterey Jack melted with beef in a tortilla ($2.99).
  • 1990s – Beef Gordita Supreme: The Gordita was beloved among ’90s kids. The flatbread filled with beef, sour cream, lettuce and a three cheese blend, topped with tomatoes is returning ($2.99).
  • 2000s – Caramel Apple Empanada: The golden-brown empanada with a crispy exterior filled with apple pieces and a creamy filling with caramel notes is making a comeback ($2.99).

Nostalgic Taco Bell fans can rejoice that they’ll get to taste their favorites again — but there’s a catch.

For now, the menu is only available at three Taco Bell locations in Southern California for a limited time, while supplies last.

However, the company said it will be expanding these menu items nationwide later this year — for a limited time, while supplies last.
