A young man has killed in a late night shooting in Sydney’s south-west.

Emergency services were called to a Dalton Street home in Condell Park at about 10.30pm on Monday night following reports a man had been shot.

A man aged in his 20s was found at the scene suffering a gunshot wound and died at the scene, despite paramedics’ desperate efforts to revive him.

Police are investigating whether the deadly shooting is gangland related. 

Unconfirmed reports from witnesses claim they heard up to six gunshots along with ‘tyres scratching’ and people screaming.

Footage showed multiple emergency services arriving at the scene.

A crime scene has been set up by police.

Specialist forensic investigators will spend the night examining the scene as part of a probe into the circumstances of the shooting. 

Police urge anyone with any information, dashcam or CCTV from the surrounding areas to contact Crime Stoppers.
