Emergency services were called to the Dural property about 6pm on Christmas Eve after a toddler was reportedly struck by a car.

The two-year-old boy was found with critical injuries.

Paramedics tried to save the child but he died at the scene.

”A 38-year-old man has been taken for mandatory testing and is assisting police with their inquiries,” NSW Police said.

The Crash Investigation Unit is looking into the incident and will prepare a report for the Coroner.
