A Sydney nurse has been charged over allegedly antisemitic comments made in a video posted online by an Israeli influencer.

Sarah Abu Lebdeh appeared alongside fellow nurse Ahmad Rashad Nadir in a video made by Max Veifer, which circulated widely online earlier this month.

Nadir and Lebdeh were at Bankstown Hospital and in nurse uniforms during the video.

Two NSW Health workers have been stood down from Bankstown Hospital and police are investigating after footage emerged of the pair allegedly making antisemitic remarks online.

In the footage they allegedly boasted of killing Israeli patients.

Lebdeh, 26, was arrested at Sutherland Police Station at about 7.30pm yesterday.

She was charged with three commonwealth offences, including threatening violence, and using a carriage service to threaten to kill and to menace.

In a video posted at 4pm (AEDT), Veifer thanked those who had shared his videos.

NSW Police Commissioner Karen Webb said the charges were a major development in the high-profile investigation.

“These charges have been laid following a lot of hard work and legal advice, received yesterday from the Commonwealth DPP,” Webb said.

Lebdeh was bailed to appear in court on March 19.

Nadir, who has not been charged, previously released an apology through his lawyer.

Both nurses have been stood down and had their registrations to work in the Australian healthcare system cancelled.
