Sydney Airport has been thrown into chaos with strong winds shutting down some runways and sparking massive delays for the Easter long weekend.
Two north-south runways were closed while the east-west runway was taking all arrivals and departures on Saturday.
Domestic and international services have been impacted with travellers warned of lengthy delays to their flights.

A Sydney Airport spokeswoman said delays of up to 40 minutes were expected.

‘Sydney Airport is experiencing some traffic delays due to increasing westerly winds,’ she said.
‘This has resulted in one runway in use until wind conditions improve.’
The closed runways are not expected to reopen until 8pm later today.
Wind gusts of up to 63km/h have been recorded at Sydney Airport with speeds not expected to drop to 35km/h until the evening.
Bureau of Meteorology senior meteorologist Jordan Notara warned the wind gusts would pick up again on Sunday.
