A man’s body has been found lying along on a road in broad daylight, sparking a homicide investigation.
Members of the public came across the grim discovery near a stormwater drain in the Perth suburb of Swan View on Thursday morning.
Paramedics were called to the scene but were unable to revive the man, who’s yet to be formally identified.
It’s currently unclear how long the body
Western Australia Police are treating the man’s death as suspicious.
‘It is not known how long the deceased man had been at that location, and the circumstances surrounding his death are being investigated,’ police said.
‘At this time, the man’s death is being treated as suspicious until it can be determined otherwise.’

Marlboro Road was closed off for most of the afternoon as forensic officers scoured the vicinity for evidence as dozens of police doorknocked homes.
The man owned a unit less than 100m from where his body was found, according to a shocked local.
