Sticky Fingers vowed to reschedule the performance for another date.
‘All of us are very sorry to have let you down,’ they wrote.
‘Some who travelled far and wide to be here tonight.
‘We will make it up to everyone as best we can.’
Fans expressed their disappointment at the last-minute cancellation, while others said they were concerned for Frost’s health.
‘I almost wanted it to be a joke but deep down knew it wasn’t,’ one fan said.
‘But ultimately we are really concerned for his welfare.’
‘Sick show tonight guys! I really loved the part when you played 0 songs,’ one said.

A third shared: ‘A rescheduling is all well and good for people who live in Brisbane, but for the people that have travelled and are out of pocket over $1000 just to be there isn’t really good enough.’
‘No update from the band. No update from Ticketmaster. Just communicate with your fans lads,’ a fourth commented.
‘Boys it’s getting so hard to continue to support yas, travelled 5 hours to be let down last minute. Such a joke,’ another fan wrote.

The last-minute cancellation comes just months after Sticky Fingers were dropped from a festival line-up after complaints were made to festival organisers.
Other bands scheduled to perform at the Bluesfest festival in Byron Bay in April threatened to pull out after Frost was accused of threatening and abusive behaviour.
Frost is understood to have ruffled feathers after he allegedly physically threatened Indigenous singer-songwriter Thelma Plum in 2016.
Festival organiser Peter Noble initially supported the band’s inclusion but was forced to drop them following intensifying pressure from other acts.
‘Bluesfest cannot continue to support Sticky Fingers by having them play our 2023 edition,’ a final statement from organisers began.

Byron Bay music festival Bluesfest was forced to axe Sticky Fingers from its lineup in April after other performers complained about the band’s inclusion in lieu of allegations surrounding frontman Dylan Frost (pictured, festival-goers enter Bluesfest in April, 2022)
‘We apologise to those artists and sponsors we involved in this matter through our mistaken belief that forgiveness and redemption are the rock on which our society is built.
‘The narrative that they continue to deserve to be cancelled is difficult to accept, wherein a portion of society and media passes eternal judgement towards a diagnosed mentally ill person.
‘Sticky Fingers has done so many good deeds that have never been reported, including funding music education programs in disadvantaged regional communities.’
Sticky Fingers performed throughout Europe in July, playing shows in Madrid, Barcelona, Milan, Paris, Munich, Copenhagen and Sweden.
