A mother-of-four was allegedly stabbed to death inside a home in Sydney’s west just a month after giving birth to her youngest child.
Emergency services were called to an address in Edmondson Avenue in St Marys around 6.45am on Wednesday following reports of a stabbing.
The critically injured woman was found suffering from stab wounds to her chest and tragically died at the scene, despite desperate attempts by paramedics to revive her.
She’s yet to be formally identified but is believed to be aged in her 30s.
Shocked neighbours said the woman was the ‘the nicest woman ever’ who had a four-week-old baby, along with three older children.

Police remain at the scene with multiple cop vehicles blocking the street and officers surrounding the home where the woman was found.
A 35-year-old man allegedly fled the scene.
He was later arrested at Campbelltown Police Station 43km away in Sydney’s south-west.
The man is currently being questioned by officers. No charges have been laid at this early stage.
Investigations are continuing.
Police sources said it was believed to be a domestic violence-related incident, the ABC reported.
