Spencer Dinwiddie wasn’t rewarded by refs for attacking rim: Jacque Vaughn

OKLAHOMA CITY — Spencer Dinwiddie had his third consecutive double-double Tuesday night, with 16 points, 11 assists and six rebounds in the Nets’ 121-107 loss to the Thunder.

He attacked the rim as usual, but coach Jacque Vaughn said his point guard wasn’t rewarded for his work.

Dinwiddie, who has on occasion been open about the Nets no longer getting star calls now that Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving have been traded, went 6-for-6 from the free throw line. Vaughn said it should’ve been more.

“I thought he was aggressive at getting to the rim: I’m surprised that only six free throw attempts with the amount of times that he drove to the rim,” Vaughn said.

“So that piece of it we’re going to ask him to continue to do it. And I thought he made the right plays. Six free throws, I thought it should’ve been 16 free throws.”

Nic Claxton (12 points, 12 rebounds) notched his team-best 23rd double-double of the season, after having just five in his first three NBA seasons combined.

In addition to scoring a team-high 34 points, Mikal Bridges tied his career high with four blocks.

He was also 9-for-11 from the free-throw line, with the attempts a career-high.

Bridges had his seventh 30-point effort in 14 games as a Net, after breaking the 30-point mark just twice in 365 games with Phoenix.

Nerlens Noel’s 10-day contract with the Nets expires Wednesday, and as of Tuesday night, the veteran center said he hadn’t heard from management about signing a second one.

“No, no. I’m not sure yet,” Noel told The Post before he spent the entire loss to the Thunder on the bench. “We’ll have to see now.”

Ben Simmons is injured and former first-round pick Day’Ron Sharpe seemingly is out of the rotation, so general manager Sean Marks opted to give Noel a try.

And, until Tuesday, Vaughn had certainly given the 28-year-old every opportunity to make an impression as a backup to Claxton.

“Yeah it’s interesting as I was talking to one of the coaches, and sometimes you get a 10-day and that guy doesn’t play,” Vaughn said before the game. “And [Noel] has had ample playing time: Two games of over 18 minutes, and then the other night in a meaningful game versus Denver to be able to spell Nic. “So had a chance to get a look at him. I think what he’s done is [taken] charges, blocks at the rim, the ability to have activity when using his speed and quickness. So those are those things we’ve seen from Nerlens, for sure.”

Noel had three points and nine rebounds on 1-for-6 shooting in 43 minutes heading into Tuesday.

His agent, George Langberg, did not reply to messages from The Post.
