Solar Opposites has been renewed for Season 6 at Hulu ahead of its Season 5 premiere.
Back in February, the show’s creators told Decider that they were still waiting for a green light on the next installment.
The news of the hit adult animated series’ renewal was announced during the show’s panel at San Diego Comic-Con on Thursday.
The Season 5 trailer was also released and it was revealed that a Halloween special will premiere later this year, according to Deadline.
Solar Opposites centers around a four-alien team consisting of Korvo (Dan Stevens), Yumyulack (Sean Giambrone), Terry (Thomas Middleditch), and Jesse (Mary Mack). After encountering Earth, the group is torn between loving or disliking the planet.
While they experience some fun aspects such as television and junk food, the other half of the team can’t help but focus on the detriments such as pollution and the frailty of human life.
Now that Terry and Korvo are married, the fifth season of Solar Opposites will touch more upon family values.
The show is executive-produced by Mike McMahan, Josh Bycel, and Sydney Ryan. 20th Television Animation is the studio behind the project.
All episodes of Season 5 will premiere on Monday, August 12 on Hulu. You can watch the trailer above.
