Sydney is bracing for its chilliest day in five years as a cold snap keeps its grip on the eastern coast.
Parramatta has already recorded its coldest morning in seven years with the temperature getting down to two degrees.
Just before 8am, the Bureau of Meteorology clocked Sydney’s temperature at 5.3 degrees.
It comes after news that a snowfall this week in New South Wales was visible from space.
And it wasn’t just in the state’s ski regions either.
A NASA satellite overhead was able to pick out the snow that had fallen on the Oberon Plateau, just two hours west of Sydney.
It comes as even colder temperatures hit around the country today, with Canberra at -6 degrees hitting its coldest morning of the year.
Adelaide is expected to receive up to 40mm of rain between 9am Thursday and 9am Friday, with isolated falls of up to 70mm.

Winds of up to 75-85km/hr are also expected, which could be dangerous in combination with the rain loosening the roots of trees, Weatherzone warned.

Sydney today is forecast to range from six to 16 degrees, with clear skies.
Melbourne will be cloudy, ranging from four to 12 degrees.
Sunny Brisbane will have a minimum of eight degrees and a maximum of 21.
There is some rain still forecast for Perth, which will range between eight and 16 degrees.
Adelaide will run the gamut from nine to 15 degrees, and Hobart from three to 12 degrees.
Darwin is once again the only well-warmed capital, with forecast temperatures of 20 to 31 degrees.
