A snake has managed to slither its way onto the balcony of an apartment block in Sydney’s eastern suburbs – all for a midday snack.

The snake, believed to be a Diamond Python, was filmed slowly devouring a ringtail possum.

The video was shared to Twitter yesterday by Peter Khoury – usually featured in the media as the NRMA spokesperson – who said he was sent the vision from his neighbour.

“My neighbour came home today and found this on their balcony. Three floors up in Coogee!” he wrote alongside the vision.

Khoury then shared another picture of the serpent resting after finishing the hearty snack.

“Everyone deserves a solid bunk down after a big feed to be fair,” he said.

Diamond pythons are non-venomous and usually constrict their prey before consuming it whole.

They are usually found in large bushland areas and national parks of Sydney.
