An Adelaide snake catcher managed to quash a small eastern brown’s efforts to hide from them at a home west of the city’s CBD last week.

Snake Catchers Adelaide were called to a property in West Richmond on Thursday after the tenant saw it.

But the evasive critter almost went unnoticed until the catcher had a closer look in an old wicker basket.

“It was the last place the catcher looked in the bedroom it was a basket and had a black covering over it so it must’ve snuck through a crack in the basket to hide out and it was relocated after capture,” they said.
