LIVE: Chopper 7 over emergency plane landing

JOLIET, Ill. (WLS) — A small airplane made an emergency landing Wednesday in the south suburbs.

The landing happened near McDonough Street and Infantry Drive in Joliet, police said.

A single-engine aircraft had an apparent malfunction before landing in a grassy area, Joliet police said.

No injuries were reported.

Authorities are investigating the incident.
