The Prime Minister of Slovakia has been ‘shot and wounded and taken to hospital,’ local reports have claimed.
Robert Fico was shot in Handlova following a Slovak government meeting, news agency TASR reported on Wednesday.
Shots were fired in front of the House of Culture, and a witness revealed to Reuters that he saw a man being detained by police.
