The buses – carrying 15 and 10 people respectively – crashed into each other at 4:15pm today on the Great Western Highway at Sun Valley.
Six children and two adults were treated by paramedics at the scene. All eight were taken to nearby hospitals.
No serious injuries have been reported, with most passengers suffering from bruising and head knocks.
One of the two bus drivers may have fractured his shoulder in the collision.
The westbound lane on the Great Western Highway has reopened, however, the eastbound lane remains closed.

There is still a significant amount of traffic heading in both directions.
Two children went to Westmead Hospital, two were taken to Blue Mountains Hospital and two more were taken to Napean Hospital, along with the bus driver.
Another adult – the other bus driver – was taken to Westmead Hospital.
Investigations into the crash are still underway.
