The winning numbers for draw 1616 were 3, 34, 35, 26, 44, 39, 36, with supplementary numbers 5, 45, 6.
Lottery organisers were expecting up to a third of Australian adults to buy a ticket.
They said before the draw that if a single person won they would be the richest winner in the competition’s history.
It wasn’t yet known if tonight’s winning ticket belonged to one person or a syndicate.
