Pizza giant Domino’s is hoping to fill the worker gap with a nation-wide drive for thousands of new employees on Saturday.

The fast food chain said more than 7500 jobs were available across the country.

As for setting up an interview – all you have to do is step into a store with your resume between 11am-3pm on Saturday to meet the team and “fast-track” the recruitment process, according to Domino’s.

“We offer flexible hours – perfect for those who are looking for something casual while at school or studying, or part/full time roles for those who are looking for a fun and fast paced career in pizza,” CEO Don Meij said.

Domino’s franchisee Ryan de Vink, who owns three Domino’s stores in South Australia, said he had begun his career as a Domino’s “delivery expert” 21 years ago.

“If you’re passionate about all things pizza and think you might have ‘pizza sauce running through your veins’, then we look forward to seeing you on Saturday,” he said.

The job that pays half-a-million dollars, no degree needed

Dominos recently announced it would close 70 stores nationwide, including a full withdrawal from Denmark.

The company said it planned to close its construction and supply arm in Australia.

Altogether, the closure and restructuring of the company is expected to save Domino’s between $16 million and $20 million per year.
