The man police allege pulled the trigger will go before a magistrate for the first time tomorrow.

Detectives allege 59-year-old Darryl “Blinky” Young from Bogie murdered Mervyn Schwarz, Maree Schwarz and her son Graham Tighe on the remote Shannonvale Station south-west of Bowen on Thursday.

Young will be taken to Proserpine Magistrates Court for his first appearance on three murder charges, plus a single charge of attempted murder.

Ross Tighe, the lone survivor, was “up an about” at Mackay Base Hospital, his family said.

He has had extensive surgery for a single gunshot wound.

A fundraiser has been set up for him.
