Confronting CCTV has emerged of a violent brawl outside a busy petrol station, promoting a police investigation.
A man was set upon by three men armed with milk crates and metal bollards in a savage attack after a verbal altercation quickly escalated.
The incident unfolded at the Metro service station on Canterbury Road at Belmore in Sydney’s south-west about 9pm last Thursday night.
Police said a man, 37, attended a car wash at the service station when he became involved in a heated verbal altercation with an unknown man.
The unknown man left the service station but returned a short time later with two other men.
CCTV showed the trio confronting the 37-year-old before launching a vicious assault which lasted several minutes.
The victim was thrown against a wall and attacked with milk crates and bollards before he was repeatedly punched and kicked in the body and head.
He was heard crying out in pain as the trio were seen fleeing the scene.

Shocked onlookers at the nearby car wash can be seen watching on.
All involved parties had left by the time police arrived.
NSW Police launched inquiries and confirmed they’ve since spoken to the victim, who was treated in hospital for facial injuries and a broken arm.
The man has since been discharged.
Investigations continue.
Detectives are seeking to speak to three men described as being Pacific Islander/Maori appearance and aged in their 30s.
The first man is described 178cm tall, with short black hair and a beard.
He was wearing a red ‘Under Armour’ hooded jumper, black track pants, and yellow sneakers.

The second man is 185cm tall, with short black hair, and was last seen wearing a white T-shirt, black pants with white stripes down the legs, and white sneakers.
The third man is also about 185cm tall, with short black hair. He was wearing a black long-sleeved ‘Nike’ T-shirt, black pants with white stripes down the legs, and black sneakers.
