Shocking dashcam footage has captured the moment an out-of-control Tesla narrowly missed oncoming traffic on a busy Adelaide freeway.
The footage, captured on the South Eastern Freeway yesterday, shows the car nearly missing several others as it hurtled onto the wrong side of the road.
Police are investigating whether the driver suffered a medical episode.
The footage, first posted to Dashcams Adelaide Facebook group, shows the Tesla slam into a barricade on the side of the road.
It then rebounds off the barricade and careens towards Molly Lou and her family, narrowly avoiding a head-on crash.

“I would say if we were a quarter of a second faster or didn’t brake then we probably would have taken out the Tesla driver,” Lou told 9News.
“It was so loud, so shocking, it was like a big, full-on smash.
“You just don’t realise how scary the road is and how frightening and how something can just change in the blink of an eye.”
There are no reports of any major injuries.
