A manhunt is under way for an armed robber who held up a service station in Queensland.

Police said the unidentified man walked into the store on Logan Road in Underwood at 9pm last Friday with a metal rod and demanded cash from a worker.

CCTV of the incident shows the man approaching the female employee near the store’s ice cream freezer, handing her a yellow bag and gesturing towards the cash register.

The woman initially stands still holding the yellow bag.

The vision then shows the man pointing at the till with one hand as he holds the metal road in the other.

The man left with a quantity of cash and the worker was not physically injured.

The man is described as Caucasian with a solid build, approximately 175cm tall.

He was wearing grey shorts with a white stripe, a grey cap and a black and white t-shirt over his face.

Police are seeking anyone with information or vision.
