Shakira & Karol G Team Up To Take Down Their Exes In New Song ‘TQG’

Shakira continues her Gerard Piqué take-down tour.

This time she’s enlisted the help of Karol G, and together the two Colombian-natives will make music magic at the expense of their ex-partners.

Shakira & Karol G Will Take Down Their Exes Through Song!

Telemundo’s show “Hoy Dia” has exclusively reported a fragment of the new song.

It has been construed as a message to their former partners, Anuel AA and Pique.

In Shakira’s case, she sings, “You going out to look for food and me thinking it was monotony.”

Last year, she released her collaboration, “Monotonia,” with Ozuna.

For her part, Karol G recites the following, “At least with me, I kept you pretty.”

Telemundo notes that Anuel AA was very thin after cutting his relationship with her, hence the connection with this part of the lyrics.

The singers have been working on the song currently titled, “TQG.” The meaning behind this acronym has not been confirmed, but one Spanish news outlet, Marca, believes it could stand for “Te Quedo Grande.”

Karol G was recently photographed in a shirt that had “Te Quedo Grande” written across the chest.

When translated to English, it loosely means “it was too big for you.” In the context of the song, Karol G and Shakira could be saying they were “too much, too good” for their exes.

The song was meant to be published on Shakira and Piqué’s shared-birthday on February 2nd, but it mysteriously got delayed. Their collaboration is set to be released on Friday, February 24th.

Karol G opened up to The New York Times about why Shakira has decided to open up about her relationship with the ex-fútbol player.

She said in their upcoming duet, the “Waka Waka” artist is “letting a lot of anger go.”

After Karol G sent Shakira the song, the mother-of-two expressed immense excitement.

“She was, like ‘Oh my God, thank you. Those lyrics are perfectly the way I feel right now’,” Karol G explained.

Shakira has also made merchandise for her hit “BZRP Music Sessions #53” collaboration with Bizarrap.

She recently took to social media to promote the clothing that features the iconic lyrics that take aim at Piqué.

The lyrics printed on the sweatshirt read, “Women don’t cry, women pay their bills.”

This is obviously a jab at not only Piqué, but also her tax fraud situation with the Spanish government.

The Spanish government is suing Shakira for tax evasion from 2012 to 2014. They claim she skipped out on paying the government $14 million.

The sweatshirt also shows an illustration of Shakira wearing headphones with money signs coming out of her mouth.

The song was a large “F**K YOU” to the retied FC Barcelona defender and his 23-year-old girlfriend, Clara Chia Marti.

The sweatshirt was designed by her niece, Isabella Meberak.

The merch will only be available for a limited amount of time.

It is available on her website, shakia.store, and is selling for $60.
