The hunt for three masked men who tied up service station workers during a robbery may have been made easier with the release of new CCTV.
The trio arrived at a petrol station in Port Wakefield, about 100 kilometres north of Adelaide about 2am on September 13.
They bound one worker’s wrists and ankles with cable ties.
Two of the men stayed with the employee to keep watch while another staff member, with just their wrists bound, was forced to help the third masked man rob the store.
“They’ve detained two of the staff members using cable ties and then stolen tobacco, some cash and then made access to an ATM,” Senior Sergeant Ryan Nicholls said.
The masked men were in the service station for an hour interrogating staff and stealing items before a customer spooked them, and they fled in a grey Holden sedan.
“The suspects were disturbed and they’ve left some evidence behind which police are following up enquiries and making investigations on,” Nicholls added.
CCTV only captures two of the three suspects, who had their faces covered and were wearing dark clothing.
The third suspect who avoided the cameras was said to be wearing a grey jumper, balaclava, had dark coloured skin, dark pants, was slightly built and has an Australian accent.
Police said there were multiple weapons involved in the robbery, but investigations were continuing to determine exactly what they were and where they came from.
