Selena Gomez Regrets Drifting From Her Wizards Of Waverly Place Co-Stars

Living the busy life Selena Gomez does, it’s no surprise she drifted from her “Wizards of Waverly Place” co-stars. However, her crazy schedule isn’t the only reason they lost touch. The singer opened up to Jennifer Stone and David DeLuise about how one of her biggest regrets was distancing herself from her Disney Channel castmates.

Gomez shared the reasons why she chose to separate that part of her life on the duo’s podcast, “Wizards of Waverly Pod.” She said, “Honestly, I felt ashamed of the decisions that I made. I didn’t want you guys to see me in the state that I was in, because A, you would have told me the truth, which terrifies me, and B, I didn’t want to let you down.” It’s unclear what Gomez felt ashamed of, but clearly it was enough to hinder her friendship with her co-stars.

DeLuise responded by saying, “That’s really sweet, and thank you for saying that … Obviously I miss you. I’m happy you’re doing well now.” Stone appreciated Gomez’s honesty, because there were a lot of questions up in the air about why their friendship ended. She said, “To be perfectly blunt, there has been times where I’m like, ‘Did we stop being friends because I didn’t tell her what she wanted to hear?'” Regardless, Stone is glad to restore the friendship they once had. Gomez ended on a sweet note, saying, “I love you so much in a way that I’ve never loved anybody else.”
