A second man has been charged over an alleged arson attack on political commentator and YouTube personality Jordan Shanks-Markovina’s home in 2022.
Shanks-Markovina, known online as Friendlyjordies, was not home at the time when the house on Wilga Street in Bondi was allegedly set alight on November 23, 2022.
The same home was also a target of an alleged arson attack a week earlier, NSW Police said at the time.
Police previously arrested and charged a 37-year-old man for his alleged involvement in both incidents. He remains before the court.
A second man, also aged 37, was arrested at Parramatta Police Station yesterday following extensive investigations.
Police allege he was driving the car involved in the second arson attack and is a member of an outlaw motorcycle gang.
He was charged with one count of destroying property in company using fire and participating in a criminal group contributing to criminal activity.
The man was refused bail and will appear before Parramatta Local Court today.
Investigations continue.
