The Chippindalls Newsagency has celebrated division one wins before, but not of this size

The search for the mystery lottery winner is over, revealing a Bundaberg man as the newest millionaire – and a two-time top-prize winner.

It took three days for the Wide Bay resident to learn he had won $3.3million, as officials for the Lott scrambled to track down the holder of the unregistered ticket.

‘Thank you very much,’ he said when a Lott official shared the news.

‘It’s very exciting. I don’t own a house but now I’ll be able to buy one. I’ll have to find  a way to celebrate the win.’

The victory marks the man’s second division one prize, though his winnings the first time were shared among a syndicate totalling $40,000 each.

‘I haven’t told anyone about this win. I plan on keeping it on the downlow,’ he said.

The lucky ticket was purchased from Chippindalls Newsagency in Bundaberg – the employees of which were also thrilled by the win.

‘We’re all really excited. There’s definitely a feel good factor,’ the store’s director and owner, Peter Heaps, told Daily Mail Australia.

The newsagency has celebrated division one wins in the past – including one for just under $1million – but none of this size.

Asked if he believes the store will attract a reputation for being lucky, he said: ‘I hope so, but it’s all what people think, really. It’s all luck of the draw’.

‘It’s all good news.’

The Bundaberg man joins five other Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4574 winners across Australia – with two in both Victoria and South Australia and one each in Queensland and New South Wales.

A further 117 lucky Aussies cleared over $10,000 in division two winnings in the draw announced on Saturday.
