Ten News First presenter Sandra Sully’s father has died, sparking an outpouring of tributes.
Sully, 58, broke the news on X on Monday evening, remembering her father, Sid, as ‘the BEST man I ever knew’.
‘There is no greater loss than losing a parent. My heart is broken. We all loved him sooooo much.’
Sydney Sully passed away on Friday, with his daughter saying it was the ‘hardest day of my life’.

Fellow Channel Ten personality Angela Bishop paid tribute: ‘Oh Sandra. I’m so sorry for the loss of your precious dad’.
‘Words can never fulfill what your heart is saying at a time like this. Hold tight. Condolences,’ said another.
‘Vale Mr Sully. Quite the legacy you leave,’ one shared.
Last year Sully revealed in an interview with New Idea her father had battled some health issues.
She said that encouraged her to feature in the SBS documentary series Who Do You Think You Are?
‘There came a point where I had to stop thinking about myself and realise this was about them (parents) ‒ and what a wonderful gift this was to give them,’ she said.
Sydney Sully leaves behind his wife Carol, twin daughters Sandra and Lyn, and sons Brad and Chris.
