Doria Ragland shed light on how the media’s resentment towards Meghan Markle deeply affected her mental state in “Harry & Meghan,” via Page Six. She was visibly emotional when disclosing that her daughter confessed that she had suicidal thoughts. She shared, “That really broke my heart because I knew that it was bad.”
While many fans are empathizing with Meghan and her mother, one family member is not. In a recent interview with GB News, Ragland’s stepdaughter Samantha Markle didn’t hold back her true feelings about Ragland’s reveal. Samantha articulated, “The other thing I found so shocking was that for Doria to suggest that she was broken-hearted because Meghan was depressed or suicidal. Well, she’s supposed to be a social worker.” She then slammed Ragland’s character while doubting her professional qualifications. She explained, “And if you’ve got someone that you’re with all the time — and the world said she was their advisor on all things — if you knew at one point that she was even indicating being depressed and you let it get to suicidal ideations, then you should cash your license in.”
