The estranged husband of a grandmother has been charged with murder after her body was found lifeless inside his home.
Christine Rakic, 53, was found in the family’s former investment property in Rooty Hill, in western Sydney, on Tuesday night, after her concerned family raised the alarm with police.
She was unable to be saved, while her ex-husband Dusan Rakic, 50, was also found at the scene with injuries to his throat and arms.

Rakic, 50, was taken to hospital under police guard and was on Friday morning charged with murder, contravene prohibition/restriction in AVO (domestic) and breach of bail.

He was refused bail and is due to appear in Mount Druitt Local Court later on Friday.
