Rita Wilson Fondly Looks Back On Her Bonding Experience With Lisa Marie Presley

In her long tribute on Instagram, Rita Wilson wrote that Lisa Marie Presley “spoke so eloquently about her father,” what the “Elvis” movie meant to her, and how it was a celebration of her father. Wilson recalled meeting Presley’s daughters, Finley and Harper, and being shown around Graceland. “She privately showed us her home, Graceland, and she made it feel like home to us. She was so gracious to us, Austin, Baz, and guests.” Wilson’s caption also encouraged everyone who hasn’t to listen to Presley’s music, describing her voice as “sultry” with a “power and tenderness.” The caption concluded by remembering all the family has lost. “A mother should never have to lose a child. Lisa Marie lost her precious son Benjamin, Priscilla loses her only daughter. It’s too much. Sending love to the family, prayers for peace and strength.”

Tom Hanks contributed his own, slightly shorter, message on Instagram. “We are heartbroken over the loss of Lisa Marie Presley,” he wrote. “Absolutely broken…”
