Giving away small slices of her personal fortune is nothing new for Rinehart.
She is known for splashing cash in worker giveaways around Christmas.
Rinehart is the daughter of iron-ore explorer Lang Hancock, who died in 1992.
The company is also Australia’s second-largest cattle producer.
