Well, this was certainly unexpected.
As Sunday’s highly anticipated fight between Jake Paul and Tommy Fury got underway in Saudi Arabia, Logan Paul was approached by ringside reporter Radio Rahim, who asked if he offered his younger sibling any words of encouragement before the match.
“I said, ‘Jake, I love you, I’m not going to give you a big speech, I know you got this, but either come back victorious or come back on your shield,’” the 27-year-old Logan said, concluding his message with a heartfelt, “I love you, bro.”

Though Logan clearly delivered those three meaningful words to his 26-year-old brother, the reporter didn’t take it that way.
“I love you too, man,” he replied, unsurprisingly spawning a series of reactions on Twitter – including one from Rahim himself.
“When the best part of this fight is the presenter thinking Logan Paul loves him… ,” British radio host Roman Kemp tweeted, to which Rahim replied with a laughing face emoji.

Elsewhere on social media, Ben Damon of Fox Sports Australia quipped of the awkward exchange, “An extraordinary moment in boxing television.”

Paul, who entered Sunday’s contest undefeated as a professional boxer, was handed his first loss by the 23-year-old Fury via split decision after eight rounds.
“I’ve already won every single way in life,” Paul said. “I made it farther than I ever thought I would, and beyond. This is a humbling experience. I’ll take it on the chin and come back.”
Paul, now 6-1 in his career, later received a message of support from Logan on Twitter.
“I’ll always stand by you in victory or defeat @jakepaul. You fought like a warrior & already beat the odds in life,” Logan wrote. “Big congrats to the Furys, what an entertaining family.”
