Keir Johnston was in court in Glasgow to face a number of charges. According to the Daily Mail, he was accused of abusing his wife several times between April 2019 and March 2022, allegedly pinning her to the ground and compressing her neck. Keir has also been accused of “pushing his wife against a wall, shouting at her and throttling her, before threatening to kill her and brandishing a knife towards her.” In addition, the outlet reports that Keir allegedly tried “to enter a vehicle that his wife was in, striking her through an open window in the vehicle” and “allegedly placed his wife in a headlock and dragged her from a pub after she refused to leave with him.” Court records also show that Keir is being accused of isolating his wife from the people around her.
Keir has denied any and all charges brought against him and is expected back in court in 2024.
