While there a many different sex positions, there seems to be one that’s the most favored: doggy style.
This simple yet highly pleasurable position takes the cake for many sex-havers and a sexologist has revealed how to make it feel even better.
In 2024, a poll of over 2,000 UK residents even voted that doggy style was the most favorite sex position, winning 38 percent of the vote, per Lovehoney.
Now why is doggy style loved by so many? DailyMail.com had the chance to speak with Sofie Roos, a licensed sexologist and relationship therapist, about the famed position.
She said it’s because it’s ‘so easy and natural to have, yet being so kinky, intense and raw.’
‘You can have it almost everywhere, from on a floor, in a bed, or on a sofa to standing in a locker room, a shower, or out in the woods, and all in between,’ she explained.
‘The penetrator comes in deep which both generally find pleasurable, and the natural power dynamic where the penetrator is dominant and the one receiving is submissive talks to many people.’
She added: ‘The penetrator gets an amazing view of their partner as well as their own d**k which is a huge turn-on for most.’

Sofie also detailed how to make the favorite position better for both people involved.
‘If it’s a woman being penetrated and she wants to reach strong orgasms, you can invest in a couples vibrator, preferably one with air pulse vibrations,’ she suggested.
‘But, [you can also invest] in a massage wand or a bullet vibrator for her to use between her legs.
‘You also come a long way by spreading your legs a bit more and then stimulating your own c**t with your fingers in whatever way that feels good.’
She suggested playing with the angles of the position to get more intense pleasure.
‘Make the angel deeper by the one penetrating leaning over more, or by lifting up the knees of the receiver with a pillow,’ she told DailyMail.com.
It might be a hot position as is, but doing it in a new place – besides a bed – can also turn the heat up even more.
‘If you have stairs, that’s often a great place to get intimate since the stairs create a nice angel and give steps for you to stand on,’ the epert proposed.

Another piece of spicy advice Sofie shared was adding hair-pulling and spanking to the mix.
