A woman has allegedly been stabbed with a paint scraper in Sydney’s eastern suburbs, with a 25-year-old man arrested over the attack.
Emergency services were called to Roberts Avenue in Randwick about 4:30pm on Wednesday after reports of a stabbing.
The woman, 48, was found with up to 12 wounds to her head and upper body and was rushed to St Vincent’s Hospital. Her injuries are considered non-life threatening.
Police believe the woman was in an argument with a man known to her before he allegedly stabbed her with a paint scraper.
Two witnesses gave chase and made a dramatic citizen’s arrest on Frenchman’s road.

The man was taken under police guard to Prince of Wales Hospital.
The footpath near where the grisly incident allegedly took place was seen covered in blood.
Police have established numerous crime scenes in the area as forensic investigations scour the for evidence.
A statement from NSW Police urged motorists and members of the public to avoid Roberts Avenue as it remains closed for investigations.
