Randall Emmett is disgusted by the new Hulu documentary, The Randall Scandal: Love, Loathing, and Vanderpump, and he claims it is using his name and lying while they are at it. He spoke to PageSix exclusively and essentially slammed the streaming service.

“Almost one year ago, the Los Angeles Times wrote a highly biased and factually inaccurate hit piece on me,” he claims. “One of the writers, Amy Kaufman, seemed to have a personal vendetta against me due to her alleged friendship with my ex Lala Kent.”

Emmettslamsm all the non-truths in the film that make him look like a bad guy. “Among other things, the article contained fictitious and greatly exaggerated stories made up by a few former disgruntled employees who had been dismissed.”

Emmett also called out Lala Kent, his ex-fiancé, and her part in the messy documentary about how Emmett maneuvered his way through Hollywood, essentially not being the man he claimed to be.

Keep in mind Kent did not participate in the shock doc, but she has been vocal in the media and online about the type of guy Emmett is and how he duped her into believing he was a good guy. “Lala was also a participant in this fiasco, likely because I have been fighting for 50/50 joint legal custody of our child.”

Randall chose not to participate in the documentary and now says he could see the bias ahead of him. “I declined to participate because it very quickly became apparent to me the film was going to be as biased, if not more so, than the article on which it was based.”

He continued. “It’s my understanding numerous people were contacted to participate in this documentary, and most declined,” claims the Gotti producer. He says he was “told people were encouraged to speak negatively about me while the vast majority had only positive things to say.”

Randall Emmett Sees An Agenda

The Hollywood producer says that whoever chose to appear in the documentary is a little desperate. They were “the ones who had very definite agendas,” he says. “It also appears to me that very little, if any, fact-checking took place, with a complete absence of any journalistic integrity whatsoever.”

Emmett also pointed out that the documentary is old news. It is “a regurgitation of the biased Los Angeles Times article,” he alleges it’s “a cheap attempt to capitalize on the current ‘Vanderpump Rules’ fever,” via Sandoval.

“My family, the people with whom I work, and those who matter in my life all know the truth and my accomplishments; I have nothing to prove.” The Los Angeles Times quickly doubled down on their claims against Emmett.

They responded to PageSix. “If Emmett would like to dispute any of the facts in our reporting or the information that Kaufman and James share in the documentary, we welcome him to do so.” And if he wants to get at Kent, “Send it to Darrell!”
