The sunshine state will remain above 30 degrees today but relief is coming on Monday and Tuesday, with a thunderstorm expected to hit most of the state on Monday evening.
“Summer is always a busy time for weather in Australia,” Weatherzone said.
“This is because the summer months are exposed to the year’s most intense and prolonged solar heating, which provides plenty of energy for extreme weather.”
After the rain and storms hit Queensland in the beginning of the week, the wet weather is expected to spread to New South Wales and the Northern Territory.
“There is potential for heavy rain, flooding and severe thunderstorms in northern and eastern Australia from this system, with Queensland likely to see the heaviest accumulated rainfall.”

The harbour city is expecting a sunny 29 degrees with light evening winds.

The Victorian capital will hit a cloudy 21 degrees with a 90 per cent chance of rain in the morning but it is expected to clear in the afternoon.
The city will be 33 degrees, cloudy and humid with a slight chances of a shower.
Over in the west, Perth will be mostly sunny and a scorching 39 degrees.
The city of churches will be a cooler 21 degrees and cloudy with a slight chance of rain.
The city will hit 18 degrees with showers expected.
Australia’s capital will be 18 degrees and windy.
As you might have guessed, the city will be 32 degrees with a possible storm or showers in the evening.
