A woman who won more than $5 million in last night’s Powerball draw says the ticket was almost “an accidental purchase”.
The Queensland woman held the only division one winning entry in Powerball draw 1447, taking home $5,098,926.32.

She purchased the ticket online, telling The Lott she accidentally bought the ticket as a double-up.

“It was almost an accidental purchase. My husband normally buys our entries, but he was having a few issues, so I said, ‘Oh, I’ll just jump on and do it,'” the Logan woman said.

“He figured it out and bought an entry, but by that stage, so had I. Oh my god, our mortgage is gone.”

She said the win was life-changing and would mean the couple would start looking at overseas holidays.

“We’ve got so many options,” she said.
