A single entry from Queensland has swept tonight’s entire $100 million Powerball jackpot.

Lottery officials tonight revealed the winning numbers in Draw 1475 were 16, 24, 11, 4, 10, 18 and 23 with a Powerball of 6.

It’s the largest lottery jackpot in nearly three months and the sixth largest ever offered.

The Lott said a winning entry from Queensland took the whole division one prize.

It’s unclear if the winner was a single ticketholder or part of a syndicate.

Thousands of Australians were expected to buy a ticket every single minute today, with up to half of all adults trying their luck.

“This is the time when office chatter turns into work syndicates, and everyone becomes a dreamer, plotting how they’d spend a share of the phenomenal $100 million prize,” the Lott spokesperson Anna Hobdell said earlier today.

“The last time we saw a $100 million Powerball draw was in May when, the peak of sales was at 6.44pm on the day of the draw when more than 7980 tickets were sold in a single minute.

“On that occasion, the prize wasn’t won and it jackpotted to $150 million, which delivered Australia’s biggest individual lottery winner – an Adelaide man.”

Tonight’s win is a return to winning ways for the Sunshine State.

Of the 20 Powerball division one winning entries last year, eight landed in New South Wales, seven in Victoria, two in both South Australia and Western Australia and one in Queensland.
