A man has died after he was stabbed multiple times in the back following a dispute inside a share house.
Queensland police officers were called to property at White Rock in Cairns, Queensland, at 1:30am on Wednesday.
The found a man, aged in his 50s, with stab wounds to his back.

Ambulance crews tried to revive the man but he died at the scene.

The man’s housemate, 66, has been arrested over the death and was taken into custody by police. No charges have been laid.
‘He’s been arrested for the offence of murder and is currently in custody,’ Acting Inspector Jason Chetham said.
‘We do have information that those two parties were arguing a number of times during the night and then into the morning about noise emanating from the premises.’
Witnesses claimed they heard yelling and screaming on the street on Wednesday morning, reports The Daily Telegraph.
Detectives are interviewing victim’s neighbours as they investigate the circumstances surrounding the death.
