A man in his 20s has been airlifted to hospital after being bitten by a shark just off Moreton Island in Queensland.

Emergency services arrived just after 3pm to the waters near Wrecks Walking Track.

The 20-year-old man was treated for abdominal and leg injuries.

He was flown to Princess Alexandra Hospital in a stable condition.

The attack comes several weeks after a teenage girl was killed when she was attacked by a shark on nearby Bribie Island.
