A Qantas flight travelling across the Pacific Ocean has made a mayday call with reports of an engine malfunction.

It’s believed more than 100 people are on flight QF144 from Auckland to Sydney.

The flight is due to land at 3.10pm at Sydney Airport.

NSW Ambulance confirmed paramedics were responding to the incident and will await the flight’s arrival.

No dangerous goods are on board.
