MLB opening weekend was nearly overshadowed by the action off of the field during the Padres-Giants series.
Two fights broke out between a group of males on the concourse at Petco Park on Saturday, as seen in a video circulating on social media — after a woman was seen slapping a man in the face at a game the night prior.
In the video, posted by @trevdawg27 on X, one man, who wore a brown shirt was on top of another male in a grey sweatshirt.
“Stay down!” a stadium employee can be heard yelling, while pointing at men.
That’s when the video showed two other men nearby throwing punches.
One male, who was wearing a neutral-colored long sleeve and jeans appeared to land a few punches on another man in a No. 44 shirt.
At one point, the latter dropped to the ground on his stomach, before the other guy swung at him again.
The video then showed other two men fighting.
The guy in the grey sweatshirt was seen punching the guy in the brown shirt while he had his knee on his back.
Arena works intervened to break up the fights.
It’s unclear if anyone was seriously injured or if any arrests were made.
Petco Park had another altercation occur the night before.
A female Padres fan was seen slapping a male Giants supporter in the face after she cussed him out during San Diego’s 8-3 loss on Friday.
The Giants and Padres split the series, 2-2.
San Diego hosts the St. Louis Cardinals on Monday.
