Officers from the Public Safety Response Team locked down the Richlands watchhouse just before 6pm on Saturday night.
Police sources told 9News a prisoner tampered with a cell door and attacked while an officer was bringing meals into the cell.
One prisoner allegedly tried to steal keys from an officer.
Two police officers and one watch house officer were injured.
Queensland Police said in a statement the incident was “immediately contained and resolved”.
Last week, two police officers were hospitalised after allegedly being stabbed with a syringe at the Redcliffe watchhouse.
At the time, Queensland Police Union President Shane Prior said the prisoner responsible “should not have been in a watchhouse”.
“The fact our members were assaulted with a syringe is not only a disgusting act of violence but also puts our members at significant risk.” Prior told 9News.
The Richlands watchhouse was near capacity on Saturday when the incident took place.
