He’d spent most of Friday at Royal Ascot alongside his stunning wife Kate – but by the evening, Prince William was spotted enjoying himself at KOKO nightclub in Camden.

Footage shows the Prince of Wales, 41, dressed in a light blue shirt, holding a beer and dancing from side to side while at the concert venue and former theatre in London.

Appearing in a private box alongside two friends, including Prince Louis’ godfather and nightclub owner Guy Pelly, the heir to the throne seemed relaxed while enjoying his Friday night at the electronic music-themed evening.

Joining William and Guy was a third man, also in a blue shirt, who appeared to be James Meade, Princess Charlotte’s godfather and a close friend of the Prince and Princess of Wales.

Wearing an open collar blue shirt and clutching a drink, the father-of-three showed off his best moves by dad dancing on the balcony of the popular bar to a heavy EDM beat.

It comes after the heir cringed over his dancing at the coronation concert, joking to a fan that ‘dancing sober is always a bad idea’.

The royal, 41, joined other senior members of the Royal Family at the outdoor concert celebrating King Charles and Queen Camilla’s Coronation in Windsor last month.

During the live television broadcast, the Prince of Wales was shown dancing alongside Prince George, nine, Princess Charlotte, eight, and Kate Middleton, 41, while Take That, Katy Perry and Lionel Richie performed.

While in 2017, the future King was spotted busting some old-school moves inside the Farinet nightclub in Verbier during a lads skiing trip to Switzerland, he was once again alongside Guy Pelly.

Footage taken at the time by a member of the public shows William ‘raising the roof’ to the hit song ‘I Got 5 On It’ by American hip hop duo Luniz.

Jokingly known as the ‘court jester’ Guy Pelly is a childhood friend of both Prince William and Harry as well as a godfather to Prince Louis.

His mother Lady Carolyn Herbert was a close friend of Princess Diana, and such is the closeness of the family, Prince William skipped the late Queen’s Christmas lunch to support Guy at his father’s memorial service in 2015.

The Newcastle graduate, 41,  also organised the future king’s stag do in 2011 – fittingly as he has previously owned many night clubs including Mahiki in Kensington as well as Public, Whisky Mist and Tonteria, wall in west London.

His own wedding, to Holiday Inn heiress Elizabeth Wilson, was attended by both William and Harry, and said to be a ‘wild’ three-day affair in Memphis, Tennessee.

But he hasn’t been without controversy.

In 2014 he was banned from driving for a third time after being guilty of drink-driving in his £90,000 sports car, and is known for such antics as shimmying 40 feet up a marquee during a Prince’s Trust concert, stripped to his boxer shorts.

He was also the friend by Prince Harry’s side – and dressed as the Queen –  when he dressed up in a Nazi soldier in 2005.

Guy has however, managed to stay friends with both William and Harry, despite tension between the brothers, and has visited Prince Harry and Meghan Markle in California.

During the visit, Prince William also spoke with representatives from the Old Spike Roastery social enterprise (pictured) who offer employment opportunities to the homeless community

He was erroneously blamed by Palace officials for introducing the teenage Harry to drugs, and ostensibly cast out of the royal circle, he didn’t complain and stayed silent.

When it later emerged that he’d had nothing to do with Harry’s adolescent experimenting with cannabis, Pelly was welcomed back into the royal fold almost as a third brother.

William’s well deserved night out comes after he started a 48-hour tour of the UK to launch his project aimed at ending homelessness.

His initiative, called Homewards, seeks to make ‘rough sleeping, sofa surfing and other forms of temporary accommodation a thing of the past’. It will focus on six locations – one of which is in London, with another in Dorset.
