Prince Harry won’t be getting a warm welcome from the United Kingdom amid outrage over his and Meghan Markle’s new Netflix docuseries, a royal expert told us.
“I can’t imagine they’ll be welcome. I don’t think Harry will ever be welcome back in England,” journalist Tom Bower exclusively told Page Six on Thursday, adding that the Suxesses most likely won’t be on the guest list for King Charles III’s coronation.
Brower further detailed that the Duke of Sussex, 38, has become an outsider and the Duchess of Sussex, 41, has equally distanced herself from the rest of the British royal family.
“I think he’s just cutting himself off from it all. You know, he is turning himself into an outcast, and I don’t think anyone’s going to be looking to — to see if he’s welcome here,” Bower said, “And … with her, she’s finished now for sure. And he’s on the verge of being finished.”
The “Revenge: Meghan, Harry, and the War Between the Windsors” author noted that Harry’s dad “hates confrontation,” so it’s unclear what will happen when the coronation rolls around. But he has no doubt that his relationship with King Charles is severely damaged.
“Charles hates confrontation … That’s why he said in his first television interview address after the Queen died, ‘Harry and Meghan, we send our love,’” Bower noted. “But, you know, the love has been spurned.”
Bower also said that any attempt for Harry to make up with his family members won’t be easy considering Markle’s quest for “fame and fortune.”
“His attempt at reconciliation is an attempt to get them to modify what they say to Netflix and [what] the book has got, and the reason is simply that Meghan is determined on fame and fortune and doesn’t care two hoots about the royal family,” Bower claimed.

He added, “They didn’t give [Markle] what she wanted — i.e. fame and celebrity on her terms — so now she’s going to turn this against them.”
The Sussexes’ highly-anticipated Netflix special, “Harry & Meghan,” debuted this week on the streaming service.
Within the limited series, the couple gave their side of the story on what led to their resignation from their royal roles in 2020 and their subsequent move to California.
Additionally, the docuseries showcased unseen photos and videos of Markle and Harry’s life with their two little ones: Archie, 3, and Lilibet, 1.
The pair also harp on the pressures of falling in love in the public eye and being harassed and berated by paparazzi.
After the Netflix doc received a great deal of criticism, Markle and Harry clarified that they didn’t leave the royal family over privacy reasons on Friday.
“Their statement announcing their decision to step back mentions nothing of privacy and reiterates their desire to continue their roles and public duties,” the couple told the New York Times on Thursday via their press secretary Ashley Hansen. “Any suggestion otherwise speaks to a key point of this series.”
The spokesperson continued, “They are choosing to share their story, on their terms, and yet the tabloid media has created an entirely untrue narrative that permeates press coverage and public opinion. The facts are right in front of them.”
