A pregnant woman has suffered serious injuries after being punched multiple times in the face at a popular games arcade on the Gold Coast’s main strip.

The mother, who is five months pregnant, was in line with her husband and two children on Cavil Avenue on December 30 when a woman took issue with her being ushered forward by a staff member.

Police said the woman argued she was first and the family allowed her to be served, but allegedly punched the 37-year-old mother seven times after being asked to stop making rude gestures toward the family.
